POSITION SUMMARY

The HR People Center Coordinator is a Tier 1/Tier 2 Shared Services role providing consultative support for associates, HR partners, and leadership on HR processes including relations, benefits, systems, pay, and onboarding of new associates. The HR Coordinator is a subject matter expert on “how-tos” for HR processes and technology platforms offering solutions to transactional & process problems. We are open to this position reporting out of Columbus, OH or Hamilton, OH.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Acts as a direct line of support to associates, HR partners, or leaders by responding to and resolving issues over the phone, text, email, or directly; escalating to HR People Center Leader Manager or COEs as appropriate. 
  2. Responsible for managing and triaging the centralized HR mailbox and phone system. 
  3. Maintains certain HR administrative processes including but not limited to: timecards, attendance points, time off requests, leave, light associate relations, associate verification, document management, etc. 
  4. Provides additional support, as defined, for all HR systems eg, coding for time keeping, approval process, onboarding, data auditing, etc.
  5. Utilizes tools and systems to continuously monitor and measure work and align with defined Key Performance Indicator metrics.
  6. Escalates sensitive employee relations and labor relations issues to the appropriate HR Partner.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience  

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) –preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Human Resources or related fields, preferred.
  • 2 + years of Human Resources experience with handling basic HR related tasks and experience with HRIS systems, preferred.

Skills & Background 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates and leaders
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, and investigative skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite products
  • HR technology platforms
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time
  • Must practice a high degree of confidentiality
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages professionally.
  • Able to translate documents, communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees, and provide interpretation during meetings or interviews as needed.
