Job Title: Materials Project Manager

Reports To: Senior Manager AOG & Line Materials

Summary: The Materials Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating projects within the Materials Department, serving as the primary liaison between Materials and Finance & Accounting to ensure timely resolution of invoice discrepancies and proper vendor payment processing. This role requires strong project management skills to lead cross-functional initiatives, support Aircraft Maintenance Operating System (AMOS) transactions to meet maintenance material requirements, and oversee special projects as assigned by leadership. The Project Manager will also drive process improvements, enhance collaboration across departments, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Materials & Finance Support:
- Act as the liaison between the Materials and Finance & Accounting departments to resolve outstanding invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure vendor invoices are properly submitted, tracked, and paid in a timely manner.
- Monitor accounts payable activities related to materials and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to support operational and financial accountability.
- AMOS Transactions & Materials Support
- Perform various AMOS system transactions to meet maintenance material requirements.
- Track and document material requests, usage, and related system activities.
- Partner with Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure system accuracy and material availability.
- Project Management & Leadership
- Lead and manage special projects assigned by department leadership, including cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Track project progress, manage risks, and ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, and project documentation to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within Materials operations.
- General Project Management Duties
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with company objectives.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including internal teams and external vendors, to ensure project success.
- Facilitate meetings, manage project communications, and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Analyze project outcomes and develop lessons-learned reports to support continuous improvement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, supply chain, procurement, or materials management (aviation industry experience strongly preferred).
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (PMP certification a plus).
- Experience with AMOS or similar Aircraft Maintenance Operating Systems highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.

- Valid passport for travel in/out of the United States
- May travel up to 10%
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, copy machine/printer.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
