We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Client Content product family within Principal Asset Management. In this role, you'll partner with business and engineering teams to deliver solutions that enable client reporting and marketing content automation capabilities. You'll be focusing on delivering timely, accurate and relevant content to assist Marketing, Distribution and Investment teams during all stages of the client journey.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Develop and communicate a clear product strategy for technology solutions
- Lead product backlog, product feature prioritization, refinement, grooming and daily standups
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver technology solutions that improve client experience and support client content strategies
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our business processes and a comprehensive understanding of technology’s role in solving business problems within the product team
- Use metrics and analytics that drive decisions to ensure product development aligns with business goals
- Communicate product updates, timelines, and risks to internal partners and leadership
- Responsible for product health and finding opportunities for product innovation and improvement

Who You Are:- 4+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent demonstrated through the following: work experience, military experience, or education
- 2+ years working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment with engineering teams and partners while managing 1 or multiple products
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to lead, influence and negotiate with partners at all levels of the company
- Strong strategic thinking/vision, collaboration and decision-making skills along with business savviness and relationship management skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating, influencing, and negotiating in a professional team environment, including using diverse perspectives and data to inform actions
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
- Product Management experience in a data/reporting environment with an understanding of techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
- Knowledge of the asset management industry
- Knowledge of data management, mapping, integrations and data collection/query tools
Work Environments
This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA, Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Chicago, IL, or New York, NY.
