Housekeeping Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build, administer, and evaluate all housekeeping training, including quality and quantity standards
  • Conduct department orientation and on the job training with new hires
  • Evaluate and inspect the quality of work performed and take appropriate steps to ensure that all rooms meet standards
  • Be hands on as needed
  • Provide feedback to team members on inspections and cleanliness on department standards
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to enhance the overall performance of the department
  • Conduct daily and periodic inspections
  • Ensure safety and department guidelines and policies are thoroughly explained to staff
  • Identify opportunities and implement changes to improve guest service and increase employee productivity
  • Assist members of the management team in developing updated and efficient processes
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and departmental policies and procedures
  • Must be able to perform all jobs of the housekeeping department
  • Maintain confidentiality and relays pertinent information to appropriate members of management
  • Act as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as an asset and encourages others to do the same
  • Demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times
  • Ability to create an environment which is fun and exciting
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction 
  • Work in a team setting

Qualifications Needed:

  • Two years as a Hotel Housekeeping Leader or three years working in a Hotel Housekeeping capacity
  • Able to share in working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess strong leadership qualities, confidence and drive
