Alera Group is looking for an Employee Benefits Account Manager. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team – joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

We are passionate about our clients’ success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct marketing efforts, review carrier contracts and benefit summaries, and coordinate broker of record letters, policies, rate history, renewal material, and commission agreements
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in internal financial tracking systems to support reporting and analysis

  • Assist Account Executives with client onboarding, including carrier coordination, communication campaigns, employee correspondence, enrollment systems, and adherence to project timelines

  • Support client relations by meeting with clients alongside Account Executives or Practice Leads, assisting with open enrollment meetings, health fairs, and creating annual employee benefit guides

  • Provide resolution support for employee issues such as enrollment, claims, and billing, escalating to the AE/Practice Lead as necessary

  • Contribute to team development by assisting in training Account Administrators and helping Account Executives stay on task with client needs

  • Participate in department meetings, professional education workshops, carrier-sponsored events, and company social functions to support ongoing learning and engagement

  • Take on special projects as assigned and pursue professional designations to strengthen industry knowledge and expertise

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of insurance industry experience, specifically in employee benefits
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively

  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills with clients, vendors, and colleagues

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar tools

  • Solid understanding of financial arrangements and products, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly

Additional Information:

This job requires presence in the office on a hybrid schedule as agreed with the manager.

Salary range is $60K to 85K per year.
