Dawn Inspire Internship Program interns will benefit from:

Work Eligibility & Travel Requirements: Hybrid internship - 3 days a week onsite at our Jackson, Michigan Home Office. The typical work schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with willingness to flex work hours based upon regional location or the Leader's direction.

 

Interns will be required to be on-site at the Corporate Jackson office from May 18 - May 21 for onboarding, and from August 4 - 7 for final presentations. These are mandatory in-person participation dates for the internship program.


What Does It Take to be a Supply Chain Planning Intern?

Below are the minimum qualifications for the Dawn Inspire Internship Program.

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree, with an interest in working in the Consumer Product Goods or Food industry.
  • The candidate must be entering their junior year or beyond with an interest in logistics.
  • Current academic status must reflect good performance in relation to institutional academic standards.
  • Strong interest in the industry or field related to the internship.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant concepts, principles, and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace feedback and eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.

 

What Will Set You Apart?

  • Microsoft office, including excel and Outlook. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to input and analyze data. 
  • High degree of detail orientation. 

 

What You'll Do as a Supply Chain Planning Intern

  • Conduct research on assigned topics and present findings to the team.
  • Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
  • Shadow and learn from experienced professionals in your field of interest.
  • Actively seek opportunities to learn and develop new skills relevant to your career goals.
  • Take initiative to suggest process improvements and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Demonstrate the “Dawn Values” of Team Dawn and support our culture throughout the duration of the Internship Program. 
  • Identified projects that you will be responsible for:
    • Working with Material planners / Production Schedulers by assisting inbound material flow and aligning the production schedule with Blue Yonder and SAP systems.
    • Supporting and documenting the Master data process to ensure master data accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation

Undergraduate - $26/hr

Graduate - $28/hr
