Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (No Rotating Shifts!)

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor to work in our Metal Finishing and Deburring Department. This position is perfect for candidates with minimal manufacturing experience but who would enjoy working in a repetitive environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that our product leaves the facility packaged and labeled correctly. The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the day-to-day functions of the Metal Finishing and Deburring department, and provide hands-on expertise and assistance. The position will work closely with a variety of personnel to ensure that the departments goals are met.

What You’ll Do

• Make recommendations for workflow efficiencies; Enforce policies and procedures; Provide leadership to team.
• Develop and maintain best practices to ensure the department to ensure high quality results.
• Promote safety awareness among employees, and ensure company safety standards are consistently met throughout each project.
• Interact and communicate with team in a professional and supportive manor.  
• Assist in the preparation of new machine orders (assembly, testing, etc).
• Organize, plan, and develop strategies to promote efficiency and flow through the department. 
• Participate in weekly production meetings, in absence of Production Supervisor. 

Requirements

• Required:
  • High school diploma/GED and/or relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work safely with supplies and equipment.
  • We will train for the position.
  • One (1) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or similar experience. 
  • One (1) or more years supervising others. 
  • Knowledge of various types of metals - A PLUS
