Your role

Working within our Bleckmann Distribution Centre, the Service Technician will be performing maintenance duties to ensure productivity and output, equipment availability, health & safety compliance and quality. You will be performing the following tasks:

  • Ensuring a top condition of the various installations
  • Responsible for performing malfunction and maintenance work as well as carrying out preventive and periodic maintenance, in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Resolving mechanical, electrical and any control technical faults

Physical requirements

  • Walking and Mobility: This role requires extensive walking, including navigating various levels of the warehouse automation system and working at heights. Candidates must be comfortable with prolonged periods of walking and standing.
  • Heavy Lifting: The position can involve lifting and moving heavy objects including motors, and rollers. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be always followed.
  • Restrictive Spaces: Work will occasionally take place in restrictive spaces. Candidates should be able to work comfortably in tight areas and follow all safety guidelines for such environments.
  • Noise Levels: The work environment may have high noise levels. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided, and adherence to safety regulations regarding noise exposure is mandatory.
  • Working at Height: As there could be a requirement to work up to 30 meters candidates should be comfortable working at heights.

What we expect from you

  • As a Service Technician you make an important contribution to customer satisfaction, whereby the continuity of the customer process is central. You therefore have an enthusiastic and proactive attitude and are flexible. We expect the following of you:
  • You are in the possession of a City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical / electrical discipline.
  • Willing to work shifts including nights
  • Experience with maintenance planning
  • NOTE: Due to the nature of the business you will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service ( DBS ) check.
