You will operate in a self-insured environment and is responsible for facilitating the ongoing implementation, evaluation and improvement of Helping Hand safety management and injury management program across Helping Hand. This position is integral to Helping Hands Self Insurance status, guiding and supporting the organisation in the implementation of our Safety and Injury Management Systems.
You'll also make an impact by:
- Working with key stakeholders in the implementation of Helping Hand's safety, injury, and wellbeing programs, across a variety of site service environments.
- Supporting continuous improvement of the Safety and Injury Management System with a real focus on creating psychologically safe workplaces for our community.
- Providing advice, coaching and support for Managers and Supervisors and injured employees.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in WHS or (or equivalent qualification / experience)
- Evidence of experience in a health and safety role (within self-insured environment preferred)
- Knowledge of South Australian WHS Act, regulations and codes of practice
- Experience and flexibility working across multiple sites
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one.
You'll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:
- Internal audit and training qualifications
- Experience within Aged Care or related industry as WHS Officer
- if you have knowledge of the Return to Work Act (RTW SA)
