About the Role:

The Flatwork/DryFold position at our Spartanburg Plant, 0032, is a critical role focused on the efficient processing and handling of flatwork textiles and dry folded products. The primary objective is to ensure that all flatwork items, such as linens and garments, are properly folded, inspected, and prepared for distribution while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. This role requires attention to detail to identify any defects or inconsistencies in the textiles and to ensure that all items meet company specifications before shipment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a smooth workflow within the production line, collaborating closely with team members to meet daily production targets. Ultimately, this position supports the overall operational excellence of the plant by ensuring timely and accurate processing of flatwork and dry fold items.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of textile handling and folding processes.
• Capability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or textile processing environment.
• Familiarity with flatwork folding machinery and dry fold equipment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to assist with minor machine adjustments or troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operate flatwork folding and dry folding machinery efficiently and safely according to company guidelines.
• Inspect textiles for quality issues such as stains, tears, or improper folding and report or correct defects as necessary.
• Sort and organize folded items for packaging and shipment, ensuring accuracy in counts and proper labeling.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to comply with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve any operational issues promptly.
