Description

 Advanced Pediatric Associates is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will prioritize and monitor message threads closely and promptly follow up. Refill medications within the LPN scope of practice in alignment with standing orders. Serve as a bridge between pharmacies and providers regarding questions, issues, and coverage. Accurately record all detail in the EMR system. Fulfill various administrative tasks and additional duties as instructed and as necessary. Adherence to APA's EMR guidelines is essential.Schedule: 4 or 5 days per week, day shift, Monday - Friday
Please note: This position requires in-office work at our administrative office in Aurora (I-225 & Parker Rd) and is not eligible for remote work.
Salary Range: $23 - $28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments as needed in accordance with our scheduling guidelines.
  • Accurately document all prescription refills and prior authorization requests in our computer system.
  • Calculate medication dosages with precision.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure exceptional patient care.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with providers, patients, parents, APA team members, and representatives from hospitals.
  • Provide clear, concise instructions to patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and prescriptions.

Requirements

 

  • Current Colorado LPN license required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Minimum of six months professional LPN experience, preferably in pediatrics.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
