The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely reports, and supporting month-end close processes. Also, this role performs data analysis, account reconciliations, and collaborates across departments to ensure financial integrity and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze management reports and key performance metrics.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP accounting standards.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Assist with audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries.
- Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and scalability as the company grows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and resolve discrepancies.
- Support budgeting and forecasting by providing historical data and variance analysis.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or progress toward CPA preferred).
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency working with an ERP (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
