Your top priority as a Sr. Financial Analyst is to serve as a strategic finance partner, delivering high-impact analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organization. This role blends financial acumen with data analytics and business collaboration to drive performance, improve reporting efficiency, and support long-range planning. This individual is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating ambiguity while influencing cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business leaders across departments to provide financial guidance, challenge assumptions, and support strategic initiatives.
- Lead financial analysis of business performance, including revenue, margin, and expense trends.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and investment decisions.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting packages with clear variance explanations and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and operational teams to align financial reporting with business needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in reporting and analytics workflows.
- Support annual budgeting and long-range planning cycles, including consolidation and executive-level presentations.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and proactively surface risks and opportunities to leadership.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects, including system implementations, cost optimization efforts, and strategic planning.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you will bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analytics, or corporate finance. Retail experience a plus!
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, pivot tables, lookups); experience with Power BI, or similar tools preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365, JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting platforms.
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and present to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
