WHAT YOU’LL DO AS OUR DISPATCHER 

You’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero making sure our transportation system runs with precision and care. Think: communicator, troubleshooter, coordinator, and compliance guardian—all in one. 
Here’s what your day might look like: 

• Receive, relay, and/or transmit dispatch for transportation in the most accurate, efficient, and timely manner 
• Maintain a detailed log of all radio transmissions, telephone calls, and key communications 
• Track driver status and vehicle location using dispatch systems 
• Communicate directly with drivers via radio or phone, including emergency response coordination 
• Anticipate and respond to route disruptions caused by weather, traffic, or emergencies 
• Monitor daily logs and cameras for compliance, safety, and documentation errors 
• Keep reports from drivers up to date, organized, and ready for supervisor review 
• Ensure adherence to working hour regulations, safety protocols, and reporting guidelines 
• Maintain confidentiality around patient and building security information 
• Stay ready to support coverage gaps in routes or driver schedules 
• Prepare required reports and documentation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment 
• Be available for weekends or extended hours on rotation 
• Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS 

• High school diploma or GED
• One year or more experience in NEMT dispatch
• Experience using radio/communication equipment and dispatch systems
• Able to type 40 WPM and pass a computerized skills test
• Familiarity with local geography is a plus 
• Must pass a background check & applicable testing 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Able to work weekdays, weekends, and rotating shift
