Job duties:
- Serve as engineering expert and technical leader for systems capabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement across operations.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies.
- Utilize engineering knowledge to employ Manufacturing Execution Systems and develop improvement projects.
- Develop an Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) methodology and implement it across all enterprise plant operations.
- Work with the Director of Operational Excellence to build and align strategy across the enterprise.
- Facilitate monthly Strategy Deployment and Operational Improvement Planning reviews.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in LEAN manufacturing practices and train, coach, and mentor Associates.
- Advocate for Lean principles and methodologies throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and waste reduction.
- Carry out financial analysis to validate proposals and gain stakeholder support.
- Partner with the Operations Accounting team to calculate, verify, and report cost savings.
- Use technical expertise to conduct thorough analyses to identify and address root causes of inefficiencies.
- Implement zero loss thinking strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Implement systems to promote Zero Loss Thinking and Analysis using tools like Minitab.
- Collaborate with broader technical group to improve service delivery and performance.
- Work with cross-functional technical leaders on improvement projects for plant operations.
- Serve as the technical lead on engineering controls for cost-saving initiatives.
- Create cost-saving governance principles and practices aligned with enterprise cost-saving principles.
- Lead the organization in using a productivity pipeline process to track and accomplish strategic and tactical improvements.
- Provide supervision and guidance to facilitate learning, mentoring, and performance improvement.
- Coach Continuous Integration (CI) Engineers and Managers. Work cross-functionally with other Operational Excellence Leaders.
- Using Value Stream Mapping (VSM), create an Autonomous Maintenance step 3 technical action plan to increase manufacturing system reliability.
- Champion and advance autonomous maintenance practices.
- Develop and oversee programs to increase the effectiveness and reliability of equipment and processes.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Industrial or a related engineering field and 7 years of operational leadership and continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience must include:
- Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and application.
- Zero loss analysis and application.
- Leading Continuous Improvement initiatives across multiple operations.
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) implementation.
- Strategic Planning and Reviews across enterprise.
- Operational excellence principles.
- Communication of complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Partial weekly work from home on a regular basis.
