Job Summary
The Facilities Technician supports daily operations of the Boerne, TX facility by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role helps ensure a safe, compliant, and reliable work environment to support Albany Engineered Composites’ (AEC) aerospace manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on building systems, including HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, and other utilities.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Support production by responding quickly to facility-related issues and coordinating with operations staff.
- Assist with contractor oversight for facility projects (repairs, installs, upgrades).
- Monitor and log performance of critical utilities (air compressors, nitrogen, process water, etc.).
- Ensure all work complies with safety, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate work records in the SAP CMMS system.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment uptime and reduce facility-related downtime.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency facility issues as required.
