Healthy Community Health Center (HCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing patient-centered, affordable, and accessible healthcare for all, regardless of income or insurance status. Serving Harrisonburg and the surrounding region, HCHC offers comprehensive services including primary medical care, behavioral health, dental care, and pharmacy support. In 2023 alone, the center delivered over 70,000 patient visits, including nearly 25,000 visits for uninsured patients, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to care. Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Marketing, Fundraising & Event Planning Intern to support our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit marketing, donor engagement, and event coordination while making a meaningful impact in community health.
What You’ll Do
• Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.
• Help design marketing materials for campaigns and events.
• Support planning and execution of fundraising events and community outreach activities.
• Research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
• Assist with donor database management and reporting.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
• Current college student (Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or related field).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic design tools (Canva, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for community health and nonprofit work.
