 Position Summary:

 HR Generalist is responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. This is a very busy, fast paced position requiring flexibility, creativity and drive to be successful. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: sourcing, recruiting, employee orientation, maintaining employee files, and assisting HR Business Partner. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Recruiting for open positions, arranging interviews with hiring managers and conducting new hire orientation 
  • Work with HRBP and Training Coordinator to create, train, and track progress of training for all personnel
  • Responsible for coordination of pre-employment checks and drug testing for new hires
  • Responsible for maintaining current and complete personnel files
  • Data entry of information into the HRIS system
  • Assist in coordination and implementation of wellness program and company events
  • Coordinate the ordering of uniforms
  • Responsible managing payroll
  • Assist with managing FMLA and STD processing 
  • Answers employee questions and serves as an information resource to employees regarding HR policies and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Degree required. Associate degree in HR preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR practices and principles
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations

Professional Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to effectively function as a team player
  • Ability to work independently and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point required

 Work Environment:

The work environment is a combination of corporate and manufacturing. The employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts. As a result, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, resin, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands: 

Ability to sit for up to 8 hours or more per day with occasional standing/walking
