We are seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead the execution of enterprise data initiatives across TI Automotive. This role blends product management, engineering management, and delivery excellence to ensure that data programs are executed on time, with reusable architectures, and with measurable business value. The Senior Data Engineering Manager will own the operationalization of enterprise data strategy—spanning data integration, cloud migration, and scalable enterprise data products—while driving alignment with business priorities.

This role requires deep expertise in the data platforms preferably Azure ecosystem, cloud data platforms, and large-scale project execution. The Senior Data Engineering Manager will work closely with stakeholders to organize and prioritize data initiatives, establish processes that drive operational excellence, and coach the team toward continuous growth and upskilling. This is a senior role in the department, and we will need them to function independently and with accountability.

Job Responsibilities:

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead large-scale data initiatives on Azure and cloud platforms, ensuring timely delivery and scalable architecture.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable roadmaps, technical requirements, and delivery milestones.
  • Implement processes, documentation, and architecture diagrams that establish operational excellence and reusability.
  • Setup CICD processes and upskill engineers to leverage best in class data-engineering standards.
  • Create roadmaps and execute initiatives in agile. Update stakeholders at a regular cadence.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Partner with business leaders to prioritize data initiatives and align delivery to business value.
  • Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
  • Influence adoption of data governance, quality, and documentation practices across the enterprise.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Must have 4+ years of experience leading direct reports.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to engineers and analysts, setting standards for quality, architecture, and delivery.
  • Groom and upskill team members, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Lead with operational excellence—ensuring repeatable processes, knowledge sharing, and strong execution discipline.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Management, Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in Azure ecosystem, cloud data platforms, and modern data architectures.
  • Proven track record of leading data initiatives from strategy to delivery.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to prioritize and translate business needs into technical execution. Part of the skillset is to find the right stakeholders to get complete picture of their asks and pain points.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, upskill talent, and drive operational excellence.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to tolerate stress.
