Server, Climate Pledge Arena en Delaware North

Overview:

Delaware North Sportservice is hiring part-time servers to join our team at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. Join our team as a Server and be part of a dynamic environment where your exceptional service skills take guests to their favourite culinary destination.

 

Please note this is a tipped position; the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

Unit Description:

Delaware North manages food and beverage services at Climate Pledge Arena, home of the NHL’s Seattle Kraken, WNBA’s Seattle Storm, and premier live music and entertainment. The 740,000-square-foot, renewable energy-powered building is the first net zero-certified arena in the world! Delaware North’s Climate Collective offers the most locally focused, sustainable menu in the sports and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities:

• Greets guests, provides menus, clearly communicates club specials, answers questions about menu items, collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests' needs throughout their visit.
• Accurately enters orders into the point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed.
• Serves alcohol beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Prepares and delivers checks to guests at the table and accepts and processes payments.
• Collaborates with other club servers and kitchen and bar staff.
• Performs opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned.
• Ensures all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least one year of serving experience required; high-volume and/or fine dining experience is preferred.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience with credit card processing.
• Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.  
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays, weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up.
• Ability to stand or walk for the entire length of the shift; may include walking up and down stairs.
