POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. This position is responsible for advanced troubleshooting of PC, printer, telecommunications (phone, fax, cell), network, server, and PBX systems. This position is responsible for installation of approved software. In addition, this position is responsible for writing and reviewing detailed technical documentation where needed.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Interact with all guests and employees to positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees. 

 

  1. Responsible to the Corporate Regional Director/Senior Director of Corporate IT and dotted                line to property General Manager for successful performance of assigned duties.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

 

  1. Responsible for the supervision and performance of Specialist, Lead Specialist, and System Analysts.

 

  1. Assists and advises other departments and Company personnel, as necessary, to assure the successful performance of their assigned job duties and the Company overall.

 

  1. Develops and manages the budget for IT.

 

  1. Interfacing with other departments in planning, recommendations, assisting                                      with needs, and implementing computer and telephone hardware/software,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     systems, and programs.
  2. Maintaining the integrity of casino operational computer and telephone systems.  Documentation of systems and procedures.

 

  1. Review staffing level to maintain budgeted employment. Delegate authority                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    and assigns responsibilities.

 

  1. Development of staff, interviews, hires, and evaluates.  Manages programs and                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                processes to control and reduce loss time injuries.

 

  1. Review IT activities with General Manager

 

  1.  Other duties as assigned.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, computer keyboard and telephone.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand complex instructions and communicate them to subordinates in a way that can be easily interpreted.
  • Ability to complete tasks in an interruptive environment under time pressures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with above average noise levels.
  • Availability to work 24-hours hours a day, 7 days a week, varied work schedules, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data, IT operational systems, casino policies, and marketing plans.
  • Ability to move effectively and efficiently around the casino and hotel.  Will require the following: walking 50%, standing 25%, sitting 25% and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Management of departmental budget and goals.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware repair, telephone and data communications, and networking.
  • Computer proficient with extensive experience with PC based systems on AS/400 computer network.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties in under frequent time pressures.
  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoked filled casino environment with noise levels.
  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid MGC Level 1 Gaming license.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
  • Must complete all required company training.
  • Seven to ten years of experience in computers, networks, problem solving, software, and computer operations with a 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
