EDUCATION EXCELLENCE SINCE 1852 Auburn Union School District serves the foothill community of Auburn, located 40 miles northeast of Sacramento on the western slope of the California High Sierra. AUSD educates approximately 1,500 students in preschool through eighth grade at three TK-8 schools (Auburn Elementary, Skyridge Elementary and E.V. Cain School) At our schools, we stand together to place each child at the heart of every decision. All students will be challenged, engaged, and obtain college and career readiness skills for a globally connected society.

Under general supervision, assists in maintaining standards of student discipline at assigned schools and programs. Patrols the school grounds, identifying potential problems regarding welfare, safety and/or security of students, personnel, visitors and/or the site; maintains safety on campus by enforcing visitor rules and student disciplinary policies/regulations; intervenes as necessary for safety and control; reports unauthorized activities to appropriate supervisory personnel; performs related work as required. Hours are Monday through Friday 11:00 am - 02:30 pm 3.5 Hrs Per Day.

Primary Duties: • Monitor to school facilities • Supervise students in non-classroom areas • Observe student behavior and prevent violations and unsafe activities • Respond to emergency situations (injury, fight) • Tactfully and diplomatically deal with student misconduct (bullying, inappropriate language, trash clean-up, rough play, loitering • Direct students to appropriate locations (class, school if off-site, ALC, office) • Report unauthorized activities to office staff and admin • Attend 'special' events (assemblies, Rally's) • MAINTAIN STUDENT CONFIDENTIALITY • Complete reports as needed • Other duties as assigned by administration
