This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to debit card products within the bank. This role will involve managing cross-functional teams, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
What’s the role?
- Manage scope and delivery to the endorsed scope and delivery plan.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders on day-to-day basis to achieve the project objectives.
- Support your project team through end-to-end delivery including any necessary escalation and facilitate agile ceremonies.
- Manage delivery governance and project health in line with the Technology Simplification/Transformation Policy and Standards including proactive RAID management and reporting of critical items early to Senior Management.
- Actively support various technology provider teams to enable efficient plan execution.
- Support reporting and engagement with oversight and audit/ assurance functions.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of Change Management activities to support the implementation.
What do I need?
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing project delivery with budgets exceeding $3 million.
- Strong background in Banking and Financial Technology, with a deep understanding of industry standards and compliance.
- Proven experience in multiple systems integration, ensuring seamless coordination across platforms.
- Hands-on experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, adaptable to project needs.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Clarity, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard), transaction processing, and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with Cards Management Systems, including implementation and operational oversight.
- Solid technical management and solutioning capabilities, with the ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience managing vendor relationships (card processors, schemes, fintech partners).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- PMP/Prince2/Agile certification preferred.
