Responsibilities: 

  • Identify opportunities to share the SCHEELS story through events and social media
  • Execute first class events/posts to drive sales, traffic and community good-will

  • Determine and direct events & social posts including:

    • Budget

    • Staff needs

    • Advertising  
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content (original text, images, video or HTML), per the CO plan that builds a meaningful connection and encourages community members to take action
  •  Have a clear understanding of the SCHEELS brand and culture, while working as an ambassador to build our culture through events & social media platforms
  • Collaborate with all members of the marketing team, store & company to determine appropriate events & content to increase the visibility of SCHEELS 
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing event turnout, social media metrics, insights and best practices and then acting on the information
  • Demonstrate strong oral/written communication skills, organization, attention to detail, problem solving and presentation skills, to communicate effectively 

  • Leadership and management experience along with a strong knowledge of Scheels’ policies and applicable laws

  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures

  • Manage public relations between Scheels and our customers, sponsors and within our community 
  • Ability to work assigned schedule which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; 2-5 years of related experience: or equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Medium workExerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
