About the Role

This high-profile role will develop, lead and manage the council’s Business Intelligence Service providing high quality advice, intelligence and analysis across the full range of services delivered by the council and key partnerships.

The postholder will oversee and coordinate a unified approach to data analytics and insight to support evidence-based decision making, transformation, commissioning, performance management, and service delivery. 

The position will manage technical projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the organisation’s business intelligence capabilities, including identifying opportunities to use advanced analytics and data science methods for addressing complex issues.

The role will also support local government reorganisation and key corporate initiatives that require data management, integration and analytics, consultation and survey oversight.   

About You

To apply for this post, you must: 

  1. Senior management and leadership experience in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment with proven ability to inspire and motivate staff, setting targets and goals for the delivery of services. 
  2. A track record of leadership and development of high performing technical and specialist teams
  3. Evidence of achievement in service improvement, transformational change, strategic planning and responding to regulatory assessment. 
  4. Evidence of providing high quality strategic advice and insight to Senior Managers and Boards/ Members.
  5. Practical evidence of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with a wide range of partners, customers or stakeholders, developing a positive personal and organisational profile and building partnerships.
