Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.00pm, Friday 7.30am-3.00pm
Rate of Pay: £7.55 per hour
Role overview:
Reporting to the Construction Services Management Team and trade qualified mentors, the apprentice will complete a 2 year apprenticeship programme, including trade studies at college, to gain skills and experience in painting and decorating.
The primary role of a painter and decorator in the construction industry is to ensure a high quality finish and enhance the aesthetics of the building, as well as to protect the various surfaces and fixtures from weathering, decay and corrosion.
We will develop your skills and knowledge and train you to carry out painter and decorator tasks safely and to a high standard.

Requirements

- A passion and interest in working within the Construction Sector, and a willingness to work across a number of sector functions.
- Interest in studying a professional Construction related qualification.
- A positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work using their own initiative but also as part of a close knit team.
- Excellent levels of computer literacy, and be fluent in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Have a proactive attitude towards delivering construction works to a world-class standard.
- Hold excellent communications skills and the ability to liaise with senior clients & subcontractors.
- Possess good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a variety of tasks.
- Possess a positive approach to learning, development and progression.
- Have a flexible outlook towards hours worked (some out of hours working may be required).
