Location:

Based at 80-100 Victoria Street, required in the office 2-3 days a week.

The Team:

The job role sits withing the Energy Bureau Team, who sit within Sustainability.

The role:

  • Effective energy and carbon management has become extremely important with the added complexity of company systems and environmental legislation. The role, set within Sustainability, is to support our pathway to achieving net zero and the management of the utilities value chain. Working with stakeholders, both internal and external, our Energy Bureau Analysts ensure effective and efficient, budgeting analysis, payment, recharging and relationship management in relation to our utilities.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Tenant billing: responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 10 assets. Recharge of fiscal invoices to tenants within a portfolio, ensuring tenants receive invoices within SLA of invoice payment, minimising cash flow concerns for Landsec and tenants alike. Critical analysis of methodologies and all created recharges, ensuring right-first-time delivery of invoices to tenants. Building and maintaining recharge tools where required, to deliver half hourly production data for HVAC consumption.

  • Budget variance analysis to identify causes for significant impacts (budget vs actual cost) in collaboration with Sustainability, Property Finance, and Operations. Provide commentary on forecasted consumption to Operations for inclusion in Service Charge booklets.

  • Delivering excellent customer service through the management of a robust query management system and regular liaisons with customers through customer review meetings and proactive communications on billing issues and delays.

  • Generation if payment and service charge journals utilising invoices validated by a third-party provider where utility costs are passed through to the relevant consumers. Maintenance of payment, service charge financial codes in Optima to minimise journal and payment delays/failures. Issuing of remittances to suppliers and onboarding suppliers onto our inhouse systems.

  • Deliver regular and ad hoc reports to support achievement of energy efficiency targets which enable delivery of our Net Zero goals. Providing cost and consumption reports to customers and key stakeholders on request.
