YOUR TASKS
- You will assist in the practice-based education of the International Master of Agro- and Environmental Nematology through the organization, supervision, and evaluation of seminars and one- or multi-day excursions. You are responsible for organizing the courses Summer Course: Networking and Seminars (C003675) and Professional Internship (C003482). You are also involved in the development, monitoring of progress and support of the southern component of the master’s programme and its associated partnerships (“Kenya track”)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a master's degree. The degree requirement needs to be fulfilled at the start of your appointment
- For diplomas awarded outside the European Union, a certificate of equivalence (NARIC) must be submitted
- You are involved in other professional activities and/or you have demonstrable experience that may contribute to the quality of the practice-based teaching, in particular the efficient organization of educational tasks
- You are interested in a teaching assignment in the field of nematology
- You are interested in academic and/or project-based research and services
- Experience in international educational projects is an advantage
- You have strong organizational skills and you are a strong team player
- Knowledge of the English and Dutch language is essential
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a 20% appointment of two years which may be renewed indefinitely for five years at a time. Attention: You cannot be appointed for a cumulative percentage of more than 30% as a Teaching Assistant at Ghent University
- Your appointment will start on 1 November 2025 at the earliest
- Your remuneration will be determined according to salary scale AAP3. More information about our salary scales
