The Role

We are currently seeking a Drafter - Urban Development to contribute to the development and production of project deliverables in our Brisbane office. Successful candidates will work alongside a specialist team of engineers, designers, and drafters, to coordinate and take lead on project delivery across various civil projects.

Candidates will work on a variety of projects including:

• Town centre main street upgrades

• Solar farm designs

• Design of construction camps for major infrastructure projects

• Townhouse developments

• Residential subdivisions (30 to 900 lots)

• Town centre land and housing urban renewals

• Master plan communities

• Intersection road upgrades

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and delivery of major civil projects using AutoCAD

• Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC

• Delivering projects under strict timescales, whilst ensuring quality performance meets with SMEC objectives

• Liaising with the engineering team, external stakeholders, and clients for project specifications and details

About You

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or equivalent professional tertiary Civil Drafting qualification

• Minimum 3 years Civil drafting experience

• AutoCAD proficiency

• Previous drafting experience of urban / land development projects

• A proven understanding of Australian Standards and local regulations

Salary on offer for this role is $85,000 - $97,000 including superannuation
