How you will contribute
The Nurse Tech is paired with an RN Preceptor and performs patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN/LPN and does not perform any task that requires a nursing license.
- The Nurse Tech will perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
- The Nurse Tech will assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
- The Nurse Tech will report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
- Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Also, the applicant must have completed the first semester of the RN nursing program and be in good standing.
- The applicant must have a minimum of a 2.50 GPA and have 2 letters of recommendation (one of which has to be from their RN Program Instructor).
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
