Key Accountabilities and Outcomes

As a member of our small and fast-paced team, you will collaborate with team members from innovation, product business units, customer marketing, demand creation, and other stakeholders. In this role, you will work with the Strategic Insights team and other business stakeholders across innovation research, market trends and customer-facing insights. You will be developing insights that will help create and market better products for the future. You will enjoy this role if you love research and data analysis, identifying insights that make a difference, and telling a data-driven story for actionable business strategy.

 

· Monitor trends through trade publications and key strategic resources, summarizing for internal programs, presentations, and/or customer-facing materials

· Provide primary research support including survey programming and analyzing survey data

· Extract key category findings across articles and reports to pull together a compelling data-driven story

· Analyze category data sets and report findings to the team and stakeholders

· As needed, prepare insights and materials for demand creation campaigns, conduct competitive searches, and optimize knowledge infrastructure / knowledge management in order to enable teams across Rich’s to better leverage our research

· Support research and innovation projects, including research brief development, innovation session planning, RFP construction, and project management

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Basic Qualifications:

· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in the Buffalo area and majoring in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Social Sciences, or related field

· Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and be able to successfully handle several projects at once. Organizational skills are a must along with attention to detail

· Resourceful and able to figure out who or where to look for information

· Possessing investigative curiosity - enjoys digging through unstructured data to find insights

· Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently

· Able to work individually and be part of a team

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Basic statistical understanding

· Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Market research experience and survey experience (building, analyzing) is a plus
