Summary: The Safety Coordinator provides safety support to administrative and clinical personnel to achieve a goal of increasing quality and safety to reduce harm. Develops safety objectives and coordinates companywide safety training programs. Monitors safety regulations and provides support to personnel to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.Position Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of company-wide safety policies and procedures.Serves as the administrator for the organization's safety event reporting tool, managing user access and processing submitted safety events.Investigates workplace safety events and recommends corrective actions and preventative safety measures.Reviews and analyzes safety event reports to identify trends and improve safety outcomes.Collaborates with Quality, Safety and Risk Manager on developing and maintaining risk mitigation processes, policies, and procedures.Assists Quality Specialist with radiologist and technologist quality and safety initiatives.Assists Quality Coordinator and Breast Imaging QA Coordinator on regulatory readiness for all ARA, hospital and ASP clients.Serves as backup to Quality Coordinator as needed.Performs other related duties Desired Professional Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred; combination of work experience and educational training is acceptable; knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Regulations preferred. Willing to complete-V1 OSHA/ safety related certification within 6 months from starting the job. Safety related experience preferred.Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, PACS, RIS and Smartsheet; experience with data reporting tools and data analysis is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.Ability to work collaboratively across departments including HR, clinical teams and external clients.
