The Manager Resource Team Nursing will manage, lead, and support the nursing resource staff for Med/Surg, OB, and NICU for the Network. This role manages the day-to-day operations and provides administrative and clinical direction to the team. This position works in collaboration and in support of leaders at each entity, nurses, and other assistive staff to ensure coverage for nursing and support throughout the Network. The Manager ensures the assigned services meet/exceed the expected quality outcomes. This position is hybrid with the option of working from home, but does require travel to multiple locations for meetings with leadership and with team members.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should demonstrate leadership competencies, including examples of the ability to motivate and develop staff by serving as a coach/role model. Applicants will have the knowledge of and ability to plan for and manage financial resources as well as key drivers of departmental budgets, meeting or exceeding identified financial targets.
- 2-year Associate Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Bachelor’s degree is required within 5 years of assuming the role.
- Five (5) years or more of experience working in a healthcare setting is required.
- A minimum of three (3) years of management/leadership experience is required.
- Med/Surg nursing experience is preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is required.
- Strong collaboration, influencing skills, and customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise discretion within protocols and priorities for balancing staffing needs when multiple priorities/conflicts arise among units needing staffing resources.
- Demonstrated ability in communication, negotiation, creativity, flexibility, and problem-solving.
