What you’ll do
As a CAD Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and interpreting 2D and 3D CAD drawings and renderings in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit. You will also:
- Create and modify 3D models of buildings and structures, including architectural, structural, and MEP models, using Revit and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Prepare calculations and summary sheets.
- Support survey crews by preparing base maps and integrating survey data into CAD drawings.
- Manage data in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers and clients during construction to resolve issues and support project delivery.
- Develop leadership skills and gain increasing autonomy in project work.
- Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists and other professionals.
- Assist with survey activities, including data collection, field measurements and site condition verification.
- Oversee construction, including observing field work, documenting progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Speak and write well.
- Have strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Pay attention to detail and accuracy.
