Key Responsibilities
- Review performance test results to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain professional performance reports.
- Assemble and disassemble pump units into testable configurations using available test fixtures, hand tools, and overhead cranes.
- Connect pumps to electrical power systems, including medium voltage (2300V & 4160V).
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
- Repair and maintain test fixtures and other equipment as necessary.

Skills and Abilities:
- High mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks from various sources.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- Two years of relevant experience in pump manufacturing and/or assembly (required).
- Four-year technical degree in a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with testing codes such as HI 14.6 and 40.6 (preferred).
- Knowledge of electrical drive controllers (preferred).
- Understanding of Department of Energy (DOE) requirements in 10 CFR 431.464 and 10 CFR 431.465 (preferred).
- Two years of experience operating a performance test facility (preferred).
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 calibration requirements (preferred).
- Interest and ability to learn new systems.
- Basic: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
- Completes any required safety classes related to applicable OSHA guidelines.
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
- Continually required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is:
- Occasionally subjected to fumes or airborne particles.
- Frequently subjected to moving parts and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
