Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Loan Pipeline:
    Oversee the complete loan processing pipeline, ensuring all loans move efficiently and meet deadlines. 
  • Review & Verify Documentation:
    Meticulously review loan applications and gather financial documents (income, assets, credit) for accuracy and completeness. 
  • Ensure Compliance:
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state lending guidelines, ensuring all loan files and documentation comply with these regulations. 
  • Coordinate with Underwriters:
    Submit completed loan files to the underwriting department and work with underwriters to clear any conditions or outstanding items. 
  • Client & Interested Party Communication:
    Serve as a key point of contact for clients, loan officers, real estate agents, and other service providers to gather information and resolve issues. 
  • Order & Verify Third-Party Services:
    Order and review reports for services like title commitments, flood certificates, and surveys. 

Senior-Level Duties

  • Mentorship:
    Provide guidance, training, and support to less experienced loan processors. 
  • Problem-Solving:
    Tackle complex loan scenarios, requiring strong problem-solving skills to ensure timely and successful outcomes. 
  • Process Improvement:
    Contribute to developing and implementing improvements in the loan processing workflow to increase efficiency and accuracy. 

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:

    Requires several years of experience as a loan processor with a first mortgage lending company.

  • Knowledge:
    In-depth understanding of residential loan types (e.g., conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo) and strong knowledge of state and federal lending regulations. 
  • Attention to Detail:
    A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is critical for reviewing complex financial information. 
  • Communication & Customer Service:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and internal teams. 
  • Computer Proficiency:

    Skilled in using loan origination systems and other relevant software.

    Minimum Requirements:


    Education: High School diploma or GED required.
    Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in residential mortgage processing.
    Systems: Encompass Mortgage software, Google, Microsoft Office

    Additional Requirements:
    Managerial Requirements: N/A
    Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use.
    Travel Requirements: Minimum travel required

    Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $23.00 - $31.00.
    Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range
    displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position.
    Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-
    related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
