BlueStar is a boutique management firm focused on supporting developers, asset managers, and community Boards in the successful operation of their resort and golf amenities. Our expertise is in all aspects of hospitality management, including golf, spa, food & beverage, community clubs, and more, particularly in active adult or age-qualified residential communities. We also provide full-scale landscape services in some locations. Our portfolio spans literally from coast to coast, with many beautiful locations in between.
Where: Located in Scottsdale, Arizona
Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 Annually
Benefits:
New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.
Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (“PTO”) in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.
Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.
All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking an experienced and service-driven IT Systems & Support Technician to support the technology infrastructure across our portfolio of clubs and resorts. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, this role is part of our Central Services team and is critical to delivering reliable and effective IT solutions to our on-site operational teams.
You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network systems, and supporting end users both remotely and on-site. This position reports to the Information Systems Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the support and oversight of local and remote Club networks, data security, hardware, software, systems, and business applications, in accordance with BSRG IT standards, using a ticketing system.
- Execution of multiple IT initiatives and projects.
- Assist in the procurement, setup, and installation of desktops, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Works directly with the Third-Party vendors for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of required equipment and software solutions at all facilities.
- Provide technical support to end users via phone, remote tools, or in-person.
- Point of contact for troubleshooting and providing solutions to end users on hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Work with existing third-party support teams in troubleshooting and fixing network connectivity and Server issues.
- Execute software upgrades and system maintenance alongside on-site operations teams.
- Train Team Members on new systems, applications, and IT best practices.
- Support the Central Services office by coordinating information between club-level and the appropriate teams.
- Assist in setting up network environments for new properties or upgrades to existing properties.
- Researches and evaluates new and innovative technologies as enhancements or upgrades to existing infrastructures, based on the desires of the organization.
- Monitor and maintain awareness of system health and escalate issues as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
- College degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or help desk environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Teams, and email systems.
- Experience supporting hospitality-related systems (e.g., POS, timekeeping software, accounting, property management system, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills; ability to manage competing priorities and assignments.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Prior experience in hotel, golf, or restaurant IT support preferred.
- Ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment and when dealing with critical issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and prioritize workload efficiently.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must have a positive demeanor and represent the BSRG Information Systems Team with confidence.
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards, attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Must be innovative; contributes ideas, helps resolve problems, looks for, and develops, cost saving measures, and develops new procedures and methods.
- Must demonstrate initiative – ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.
- This position requires regular travel, and a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, including a weekend rotation for on-call support.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
TRAVEL:
Travel is a critical component of this position and may require 10-20%. At times travel may be heavier than normal and may require being out of town for a period in excess of one week.
