Job Title: Architectural Designer

Department: Capital Projects and Construction

Position Summary:

Phipps Houses is seeking a highly motivated Architectural Designer to join the department of Capital Projects and Construction to assist on a number of special initiatives within the department.  This position is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Capital Projects and Construction and will work mainly out of the corporate office at 257 Park Avenue South.

The preferred candidate has outstanding communication skills and a strong team-orientated approach.  The candidate needs to be self-motivated with the ability to think and work independently on special projects.

The salary range for this role is Range 70,000 to 80,000 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct meetings and working groups with internal and external stakeholders

• Research and analysis of historical and current projects and documents

• Compile data and documents 

• Graphic and Architectural Design

• Presentation materials

Minimum Education Requirements:

Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Urban Design; or equivalent work experience with high school or vocational degree.

Additional skills:

Proficiency in Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign 

Proficiency in writing and communication.

AutoCAD/Revit is recommended.

Organized and able to prioritize tasks and work with multiple demands.
