Position Duties
The outcome of the Program Aide I - Clerical's job performance will be as follows:
- The operation of various types of office machinery will have been performed effectively
- Assistance with the preparation of newsletters and other home-school communications will have been given
- Greet guest/students/staff
- Files, records and inventory will have been maintained.
- Receiving the public and providing of routine factual information will have been performed
- Materials will have been distributed
- Records, lists, memos and letters will have been performed as needed
- Assistance with the clerical needs of students/staff will have been given as needed
- Other duties will have been completed as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from high school or its equivalent (GED)
Experience:
Some prior experience as an aide.
Knowledge of:
Routine office practices and procedures; use of standard office equipment.
Ability to:
Communicate effectively. Bilingial profiecient is desired, but not required.
Personal Qualifications:
Character, personality and social capability to relate effectively with staff, students, and community.

SELECTION PROCEDURES:
The examination process for this recruitment may be comprised of one or any combination of the following: screening of the applicant's training, background, and experience; scored evaluation of responses on a supplemental application; written examination(s); qualifications appraisal oral examination; performance examination; or technical oral examination, scored on a job-related basis. Only the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process. Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations. The eligibility list for this classification will remain in effect for a period of six (6) months.

EXAMINATION PROCESS:
For those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, the examination process will consist of any one or more of the following: Training and Experience Evaluation, Written Test, Performance Test, and/or Structured interview. Additional information pertaining to the examination process will be emailed to those candidates who meet the minimum qualifications.
EXAMINATION PROTESTS:
Protests of any part of the examination process must be in writing and received in the office of the Director of Human Resources no later than five (5) working days from the date you were notified of the examination results. All notifications are sent electronically via email. Any protest must include rationale to support the protest and must be based on illegal discrimination, abuse of discretions, or procedure/process error.
