We are seeking a Manufacturing and Materials Planner to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will act as the liaison between Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing Operations for materials and components that are sourced externally. You will play a critical role in ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, tooling, and composites needed to meet program schedules and production goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Address daily procurement needs, streamline material logistics, and maintain alignment with production goals
  • Ensure the timely and efficient supply of materials, such as composite materials, and tooling to support manufacturing operations across various programs
  • Planning, procuring, and coordinating the delivery of raw materials required for the manufacturing of components, both on-site and at external partner facilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement teams to define material needs and ensure proper sourcing strategies
  • Plan, procure, and coordinate the delivery of raw materials, tooling, and composite materials to support both in-house production and external partner facilities
  • Maintain alignment between material availability, manufacturing schedules, and program milestones
  • Address daily procurement needs, resolve material shortages, and streamline logistics to minimize production downtime
  • Monitor vendor performance, lead times, and inventory levels to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain
  • Support the implementation of process improvements to enhance material flow, reduce waste, and increase efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of material planning, procurement activities, and inventory tracking
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion of aerospace components, assemblies, and vehicles (e.g., landers, rovers, satellites).
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align material availability with manufacturing milestones.
  • Track and report on work-in-progress (WIP) to identify risks, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Analyze material usage trends to optimize planning and reduce waste.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline scheduling and materials flow.
  • Leverage ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools to improve forecasting accuracy.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, materials coordination, or supply chain management (aerospace/defense industry preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience with Bolt-line, Fusion, or other ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of logistic coordination and vendor management
