Quanex is looking for a Tool Room Team Lead - 1st shift to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota. This position is responsible for planning, assigning and coordinating the daily work schedules of the Tool Room personnel to ensure the timely completion of all projects.
The hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm.

What Success Looks Like:
- Carry out routine departmental operations by meeting regularly with the supervisor
- Keep supervisor informed of critical departmental issues.
- Review job orders for clarification and understanding of needed repairs prior to assigning the appropriate employee.
- Ensure priority job requests are handled promptly by re-assigning personnel as needed.
- Must be able to administer first aid, as necessary.
- Direction of Others - Acts as a group leader and provides work direction within the department; assigns and monitors work, trains others in methods and procedures.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years vocational training in a Tool and Die program is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working as a die maintenance machinist.
- Must complete CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must possess own tools.
The starting salary range for this position is $35.00/hour with an additional $3.00/hour after certification.
