About the Role
At Gropen Inc., we design and build custom signage, displays, and branded environments that make a lasting impact. As a General Fabricator, you’ll transform creative designs into high-quality finished products using a variety of materials—metal, wood, acrylic, vinyl, and composites. Every project is unique, ranging from architectural signage to immersive exhibits. You’ll not only fabricate and assemble these projects but also play a key role in preparing them for installation.
What You’ll Do
- Fabricate and assemble custom signage, displays, and fixtures.
- Interpret and follow design drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints with accuracy.
- Work with fabrication equipment, including CNC routers, welders, saws, and finishing tools.
- Apply finishing techniques such as painting, sanding, and vinyl graphics application.
- Inspect projects to ensure quality standards and installation readiness.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Support on-site installation of signage and exhibit projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience in fabrication (metal, wood, acrylic, vinyl, composites).
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to read and follow shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Eagerness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced shop environment.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
- Commitment to safety and shop organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in signage, exhibit, or specialty fabrication.
- Knowledge of CNC operation and advanced shop equipment.
- Prior work in custom manufacturing or design-driven environments.
