We are seeking a professional like you to join our team! The Process Engineering Team Lead will lead a team of Process Engineers and support the Operations Engineers at our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Seneca, SC.

As a Process Engineering Team Lead, you create chemistry by...
- Leveraging your education and your experience in Catalyst or Zeolite Manufacturing and your experience in a leadership role, you will lead a team of Process Engineers and support a team of Operations Engineers in the manufacturing of Chemical Catalysts and Zeolites.
- Applying your processing experience with solids manufacturing and your Catalyst experience, working with the global catalyst team, you and your team will drive the introduction of new products and product transfers to the Seneca site and drive key improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency on current products while ensuring all product quality standards are met.
- Your strong understanding of process safety will be required as you ensure implementation of current and develop new process safety concepts to eliminate serious process safety hazards, including owning and managing Process Safety for the EVC Seneca Site, including all Process Hazard Analyses and Clean Sheet Reviews and leading or supporting the Management of Change Process (MOC).
- Demonstrating your excellent collaboration skills and organizational awareness you will heavily interact with many different departments in BASF around the world, such as Quality, R&D, Operations, Business, Supply Chain, and Engineering, and know how to pull resources when needed.
- Displaying your drive for innovation, your openness to new ideas, and willingness to learn new things, you will lead process innovation to develop the technologies of the future that provide competitive advantages for the business.
If you...
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of solids handling including but not limited to, extrusion, calcination, coating, drying, spray drying, filter presses, etc. Catalyst and/or zeolites manufacturing experience a plus.
• Self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and a focus on relationship building both inside and outside the site.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including experience with SAP, Process Safety Management Software (Stature a plus), MOC software, Aspen, etc.
