The Oncology/Infusion Pharmacist Program Manager is a vital leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive oncology programs to optimize medication management and patient care for individuals undergoing treatment at HealthPartners Cancer Care. This role combines clinical expertise with program manager acumen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care within the oncology setting. The Program Manager oversees Pharmacy Oncology services at all HealthPartners hospitals and clinic locations. This role will not have direct reports.

Essential duties of the role include:

  • Program management of the organization-wide (hospital and clinic) oncology and non-oncology infusion practice and standardization.
  • Designing and implementing strategies and best practices for enhancing performance in antineoplastic utilization across the continuum of care.
  • Collaboration with Pharmacy Revenue Integrity manager and optimization of antineoplastic site of care administration and implement clinical programs to safely administer antineoplastics in the outpatient setting when clinically appropriate. 
  • Overseeing the expansion and maintenance and implementation of Collaborative Practice Agreements in the Oncology setting. 
  • Overseeing the development and quality assurance of Oncology Beacon Treatment Plans and Non-Oncology Infusion Therapy plans and associated medication record builds in Epic. 

This is a hybrid remote position that will work onsite in Saint Paul and St. Louis Park, MN weekly. This is not a fully remote position. Employees must reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota, and have a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work free from interruptions.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, day hours, no weekends/holidays.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited university or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in oncology pharmacy practice.
  • Pharmacist registered or eligible for registration in the State of Minnesota.
  • Thorough understanding of oncology pharmacotherapy and chemotherapy protocols, and experience with electronic health records (e.g., Epic) and pharmacy information systems.
  • Reside in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, or South Dakota, and have a reliable internet connection and a quiet place to work free from interruptions, with the ability to work onsite in Saint Paul and St. Louis Park, MN weekly.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
  • PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology.
  • Any specialized certifications which enhance expertise in areas such as quality improvement, informatics, leadership, and related.
  • Experience with clinical management, designing Epic and Beacon Treatment Protocols, and strong project management skills.

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position working in Saint Paul and St. Louis Park, MN. The full salary range for this position is $131,310.40-$203,528 annually, based on years of experience and internal equity. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
