Mission: Drive business performance by providing key leadership and strategy to develop and grow MGA Entertainment’s international licensing business.  This leader will also deliver best in class retail solutions for MGA brands. The SVP of Global Licensing will develop and execute a multi-category licensing strategy across the MGA Entertainment’s portfolio of brands.  The successful candidate will collaborate with our creative, product development, retail, marketing, content, and distribution teams to develop multi-phased product plans that drive relevance, revenue, competitive differentiation, and brand integrity. The SVP will manage a team that builds and maintains strong relationships with all key licensing partners.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related area required, MBA highly preferred.
  • 15+ years of licensing, sales, and marketing management experience, preferably in the Toy Industry. 
  • Experience with specific sales funnel management and structuring sales quota and revenue expectations.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience working with large and diverse global user groups and customers.
  • Strong planning and analysis skills to perform quantitative data analysis.
  • A change agent with highly evolved influencing skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and passion for managing projects to conclusion on time.
  • Excellent organization, communication and presentation skills.


Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

  • Knowledge of kids, toys and entertainment industry.
  • Must have strong relationships with licensees and retailers. 
  • Experienced senior sales executive with proven ability to deliver results and lead a business development team.
  • Knowledge and experience working with multiple channels and accounts.
  • Experience dealing with retailers, distributors, and licensees at a senior level in multiple regions around the world.
  • Proven ability to develop channel and market specific sales strategies that deliver exceptional growth.
  • Strong quantitative skill set.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong networking capabilities (Relationship building).
  • Ability to stay focused in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.

 

Key Result Areas and Activities:

  1. Lead Licensing Strategies 
    • Develop long-range strategic marketing plan and sales plan in drive organizational strategy and objectives.
    • Lead all licensing sales and marketing strategy development and implementation in the region and deliver assigned revenue/royalty goals. 
    • Lead global team in development of innovative strategies to drive lifestyle products to grow brand awareness around the world.

 

  1. Drive Profitability Improvement/Account Management 
    • Work closely with internal teams and licensees to deliver our products to retail.
    • Make and influence critical decisions at the local and regional level.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with customer personnel through formal and informal interactions.
    • Identify new or additional solutions that could benefit customers, and profitably increase account revenue.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers; assist as needed with problem solving and customer relationship management. 
    • Lead relationships with licensees and business partners; assist with problem solving and engage in high-level negotiations as needed.

 

  1. Licensing P&L Responsibility 
    • Manage licensing P&L for all MGA and Little Tikes brands.
    • Responsible for managaing the P&L budget.
    • Drive the organic growth of revenue profits and sales in line with the company's target, expectations and strategic plans.


  1. Manage and Lead a Team 
    • Set business goals and metrics, articulate company vision, and motivate the team to deliver results. 
    • Attract, develop and retain talent; create appropriate succession plans. 
    • Monitor and evaluate performance of team and individuals. 
    • Provide strategic financial and operational leadership. 
    • Lead Regional Director and the team to create sales, profitability and growth plans for their assigned territories which will identify how to drive profitable growth with existing and potential customers; hold leaders and the teams accountable to hitting their growth plans.


Salary: 

$225,000.00 - $275,000.00 /year
