Position Summary
The Executive Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative and strategic support to the President of Senior Home Companions, a mission-driven senior home care organization. This role is a trusted partner and extension of the President, ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and alignment with the company’s mission: to create active and engaged lives by providing personalized service and exceptional care with compassionate team members who go the extra mile, do the right thing, and care deeply.
The Executive Assistant manages day-to-day priorities, coordinates critical initiatives, and strengthens connections between leadership, staff, caregivers, clients, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the President’s calendar, scheduling, and travel arrangements, ensuring time is prioritized for the greatest impact on organizational goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the President and internal/external stakeholders, including clients, board members, and community partners.
- Prepare, review, and edit communications, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the company’s mission and values.
- Support the planning, coordination, and follow-up of leadership team meetings, board meetings, and company-wide meetings.
- Track organizational projects, key deliverables, and action items, providing reminders and updates to keep initiatives on schedule.
- Handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion, sensitivity, and professionalism.
- Research and prepare briefing materials to support the President’s decision-making and external engagement.
- Manage executive gifting by selecting and coordinating appropriate, high-quality gifts for employees, clients, board members, and other key stakeholders to strengthen relationships and reflect organizational values.
- Assist with special projects, community events, and initiatives that celebrate employee contributions and strengthen company culture.
- Represent the President and the company with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior leadership, ideally within senior services, or a mission-based organization.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration platforms (Google Team, Zoom).
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
