With technicians on the ground throughout the country we offer in-person as well as remote support.

When given an opportunity to address an issue you follow service standards and quickly provide a solution, if you can’t you are able to escalate the issue and alert your manager to your need/want for knowledge and growth - all while communicating progress in a professional and engaging manner with the client.

Role Overview

The Executive IT Liaison will serve as the dedicated bridge between GPS Dental and Darkhorse Tech, ensuring seamless communication, efficient onboarding, and proactive management of IT-related needs. This role combines technical expertise, account management, and project coordination, with a focus on visibility, responsiveness, and collaboration.

The position will be employed by Darkhorse Tech, and fully integrated into GPS Dental operations, with access to both companies’ systems and communication channels.

Core Responsibilities

1. Primary Point of Escalation

  • Act as the first line of escalation for GPS Dental offices experiencing IT challenges.
  • Translate technical IT issues into clear, actionable updates for GPS stakeholders.
  • Ensure resolutions are communicated with context (what happened, how to prevent recurrence).

2. Onboarding & Integration Management

  • Coordinate with both Darkhorse and GPS teams to ensure smooth system integrations.
  • Develop and maintain a checklist-driven process for office onboarding, including hardware, software, and compliance standards.

3. Proposal & Quote Creation

  • Prepare and deliver IT upgrade proposals and budgets, including:
    • Device details (name, serial number, specs).
    • Clear rationale for upgrades or replacements.
  • Support GPS leadership in budget forecasting for IT initiatives.
  • Handle direct quote creation for GPS when applicable.

4. System Access & Visibility

  • Maintain access to both Darkhorse and GPS systems, including ticketing dashboards.
  • Use dual email accounts (GPS and Darkhorse) to streamline communication and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Provide visibility into open tickets, project timelines, and escalation paths.

5. Relationship & Communication Management

  • Serve as the dedicated liaison introduced to each GPS office as their direct IT contact.
  • Improve proposal clarity and service communications to ensure office staff understand IT recommendations.
  • Bridge the gap between technical IT language and dental practice operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical IT background (systems, networking, dental practice software preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to translate complex issues into simple, actionable language.
  • Experience in proposal/quote creation and budget forecasting.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, RCMPC, and cloud-based practice management tools preferred.
