Job Description:

The Executive Director of FP&A is responsible for leading the North America’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis function. This role serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing insights that drive key investments and profitability . The ideal candidate combines deep financial expertise with strong leadership and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Including, but not limited to the following

  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting
    • Lead long-range financial planning and annual budgeting processes
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Performance Analysis
    •  Complete and monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts
    • Identify variances and recommend corrective actions
    • Deliver actionable insights to improve margins
  • Executive Reporting
    • Prepare and present financial reports to the North America Business Partners
    • Translate complex financial data into clear narratives
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor FP&A team members
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and analytical rigor
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and brand teams
  • Systems & Process Optimization
    • Streamline reporting processes and ensure data integrity
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
  • Ad Hoc Projects and Reporting
    • Review the Transparency reporting finance files prepared and work with legal and other administrators on ensuring compliance
    • Complete ad hoc analysis, as applicable, to meet North America or corporate requests.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • High emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset
  • Able to interact with all levels of an organization to collaborate, communicate effectively and achieve desired results
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Understanding of international parent company environment to meet various corporate requirements and deadlines
  • Proven track record of driving financial outcomes
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Adaptive Planning)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Proven track record of process improvement and ability to continually enhance methods and activities
  • Candidates in the Boston area preferred for regular team meetings in the office

The base salary range for this role is $244,000-$330,000. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
