About The Position

At Athena Farms, we’re passionate about delivering the freshest, highest-quality produce to the region’s top restaurants, hotels, and caterers. We’re looking for a seasoned Transportation Manager who thrives on organization, leads with integrity, and takes pride in safe, timely deliveries. In this role, you’ll oversee our delivery operations, ensuring our drivers are supported, our customers are delighted, and our logistics run like clockwork.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and support a team of supervisors and delivery drivers, fostering accountability and teamwork.
• Oversee daily transportation operations with a focus on timeliness, safety, and service quality.
• Ensure strict adherence to company policies and delivery protocols
• Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues, including bills of lading, freight disputes, and credit adjustments
• Coordinate all pickups, deliveries, and inbound freight logistics
• Develop weekly driver schedules and assign daily delivery routes
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with drivers and the sales team
• Manage roadside assistance needs and respond swiftly to fleet emergencies
• Schedule and track preventative and routine maintenance for all vehicles

About You

• 3+ years of leadership experience in logistics, dispatch, or transportation management
• Strong communication skills that foster teamwork and resolve challenges with clarity
• Tech-savvy mindset, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and a knack for learning new systems
• Experience with routing software (a plus!)—you understand how smart planning drives efficiency
• High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications are a bonus

Schedule & Hours 

• Ability to work early morning, start time from 3:00 am until 1:00 pm 
• 5 days per week, days off are Wednesdays and Sundays, additional days based on business necessity
