Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced Google Cloud Platform Engineers to join our team to support our government clients. The successful applicant will play a meaningful role in crafting, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Job Responsibilities
As a Google Cloud Platform Engineer, you will:
Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient GCP environments to support enterprise applications.
Develop and maintain Terraform, Packer, and Jenkins pipelines to automate cloud provisioning and configuration management.
Implement standard methodologies for security, such as IAM role management, encryption, and GCP Security Command Center to ensure compliance with federal standards.
Configure and troubleshoot VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid cloud networking to optimize performance and security.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform to streamline deployments and cloud automation.
Monitor and optimize GCP resources using Harness Cloud Costs, Stackdriver, and cost analytics tools to drive efficiency and reduce spending.
Support integrations between GCP, AWS, and Azure, ensuring seamless interoperability across cloud environments.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting for cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability and rapid recovery from failures.
Develop and maintain PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripts for system administration and automated deployments.
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align cloud strategies with business needs.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must have an active Secret Government Security Clearance.
Associate degree or Equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or DevOps, with a focus on GCP.
Google Cloud Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure or equivalent GCP certification preferred.
Strong expertise in Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps for automation and continuous integration.
In-depth knowledge of GCP IAM, encryption, security monitoring, and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in configuring GCP VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Interconnect, and VPNs.
Familiarity with AWS and Azure for cross-cloud integrations and hybrid cloud solutions.
Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, and JSON/YAML scripting for cloud automation.
Ability to be on-site 5 days a week.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong communication and team building skills.
Experience with serverless computing, Kubernetes (GKE), and container orchestration.
Knowledge of GCP Anthos, Cloud Functions, and App Engine for scalable deployments.
Familiarity with incident response, disaster recovery, and high-availability cloud architectures.
